Hey Guys,

Some prayer would be appriciated. I'm really excited, tomorrow morning I leave for Canmore Alberta to go to a rather high key leadership conference. I am blessed to have to oppertunity to go, seeing as they only accept 40 people each year to the event. Somehow I get to be one of the nine people (in total) going from my church. I was really excited at first (and still am) about going, but i'm getting a little bit nervous about it as well. I don't know what to expect, I know it'll be amazing, but it's intimidating too. So yeah, just prayer that i'd learn a lot and be able to apply a lot of what I learn to my life. Also, just please pray for safety in travel, as the highways haven't been so super lately. That would be sweet! I get home late on Sunday night, so i'm sure i'll update sometime next week and tell you all how it went!
Thanks!

Well, tomorrow I am going to write my testimony for getting baptised...and then on Monday I have this "interview' thing with the elders of the church...and so i am really nervous. I don't know the first thing about writing testimonys, and I am going to stutter or just talk reeeeally fast :P so if you could pray that I'd have some peace and that it would all work out for baptism next week, that would be great. Thanks guys.

Hey Danielle, for sure i'll pray for ya!

Don't worry about writing a testimony, just let it come from your heart. Write about your life, and the significant things that brought you towards knowing Christ and making the step of baptism, you'll do wonderfully! Don't worry about your interview thingy either, if anything, they'll be cheering you on- it's just one of those technical things. God bless you!

So yeah, my older sister had her baby on Monday. Healthy baby girl, weighing about 8 pounds...her name is Hailey Anne...and I'm going to Moose Jaw to see her on the fifteenth. Praise the Lord this baby is healthy...she's had three miscarriages before. -Heather

Please pray for the final quiz meet. It's only eight days away! wow, I haven't been on this site for awhile. (handslap!) pray especially for my coaches as they try and decide on making teams. We're having some issues as we have four more quizzers registered in A division this meet that weren't in A last meet. It's exciting, but we need to resolve some conflicts. And that's for Parliament's quiz team. Thanks everyone. Remember God's word, and I challenge you to meditate and really think about Romans, more than just studying/memorizing it. It is an amazing letter! Really deep. and James is good. don't want to leave that one out.

 Prayer Requests from WCC

Ok guys.
I said that I was going to make the prayer requests shared @ the final meet avaible to everyone. Farming has been really busy lately, but I finally got it done! If you're on here and I've spelled your name wrong, I appologise.
Here we go:

Prayer requests from WCC

· Pray for Evan and Keri-Anne from CDA. They have been going through some family issues. Their dad is an alcoholic and is abusive.
· Kayla from Milestone asked us to pray for her friend Lisa who has cancer. Another girl from the class, Angela, was just killed in a car accident. Pray for her family as they go through the loss of their daughter. Pray for the students of Milestone High School as they are trying to cope through these situations.
· Praise God for Mr. Dueck’s health. He shared scriptures that have meant a lot to him this year: Romans 9-11 about God’s sovereign choice of us, James Chapter 4, about how God is in control of today and tomorrow, and who are we to say what we will do? James 1 where it talks about trials developing perseverance.
· Tyler from PCC shared about how last summer, his mom had blood clots in her lungs. The doctors caught that fact just in time, and now she is doing just fine. He thanked us for praying for her and the rest of their family through both her fight with cancer and the blood clots.
· James gave thanks to God for giving him a second chance at life after he had almost drowned.
· Justine thanked our group for praying for her dad last year when he was in the hospital. He is fine now, and is her coach! Praise God!
· Bethany shared that she was thankful for the encouragement her dad gave her. What a good idea! Take some time to thank God for your parents. Tell someone else how awesome they are!
· Jesus is Love. This was the conclusion that Richard came to in English class in response to the question “True love. What is it?” Amen to that!
· Daniel from Altona shared about his friend Alison who has a suicidal twin sister. She has attempted suicide once. She says she wants to start taking drugs in an effort to take away her pain. Pray for both Alison and her sister through this time. Pray for wisdom for Alison in her interactions with her sister. Pray that God would somehow get a hold of her sister’s life.
· Kylie and Sharylin shared the story of Brian who was caught in a hay press this February. His head was crushed, but in a way that his life was spared. He is still in the process of corrective surgery. He had just undergone surgery on Monday the first of May, the Monday before the quiz meet. Pray that his recovery will continue to go as well as it has been going.
· Jenny gave testimony of her cousin who fought with cancer and beat it back before she was born. She requested prayer for her dad. He is a farmer, and he fell off the roof a while back but still has back problems. Pray that he will completely recover. Isn’t it awesome how God has given Jenny the faith builder of her cousin’s testimony? She has proof that God heals!
· Brandon has a friend who is suicidal. Pray that he won’t do anything that he will regret later on. Pray that God would give him the ability to think through the consequences of his actions.
· Kayla asked for prayer for a friend’s mom’s boyfriend who was in a quad accident. He doesn’t know the Lord at this point. Pray that he will recover, and also that he will be drawn to Jesus through this.
· Stacey has a friend from her class who has just had the appendix taken out. Pray that this would be a fast recovery, and that through this trial perseverance may be strengthened.
· Noelle’s dad was in a trucking accident a few years ago. Her friend’s dad was also involved in the accident. Her dad died, and her friend’s dad was only injured. Her friend, out of grief, has blamed Noelle for her dad’s injury and has lashed out and hurt her. She is having trouble dealing with this issue. She feels like the wound isn’t healing, that the scab keeps getting picked off, re-opening the wound. Pray for God’s comfort in her life. Pray that her friend will realize the hurt that has been caused. Pray that the hurt will be healed completely.
· Cecil asked for prayer for a suicidal friend: Candace. She has been blamed for the problems in her life, and the unfair accusations have triggered suicidal feelings. Pray that she will realize that there is a better way. Pray for Cecil that he will be able to encourage her to turn to God.
· Last year Jeff told us the he wants to become a pastor. He shared that the day after someone had been given the vision of him ministering to suicidal people. Pray for him as he has some issues with self and family. God has given him this dream. Pray that he will be able to keep his eyes focused on the goal that God has given him, that he will be single minded in his work. Pray that he would trust God to work out all the details between the here and the then.
· Dan has a friend who has a broken life and a broken family. She has been suicidal lately. She says that she is a Christian but she is falling away. Pray that she will gain a deeper revelation of what it means to be a Christian. Pray that she will see Christ so strongly that she will be changed out of depression and her suicidal mind set into a pure vessel for God’s work.

Well, i'm heading up to camp pretty soon here... so maybe pray for all the people out working at camp that they would have an effective ministry. As well as for the campers in thier care, that they would have open hearts to hear the message of God... and also that they would have fantastic weeks at camp.

Hey. Tomorrow I head to Internationals (well, to shaunavon for a week to practice, and then we all leave for internationals on July 4). So pray for that, that'd be good. Uhm, also for anyone who was shooting for the team and didn't make it. I've been there a few times, and it's a little bit sad when you know that the team is practicing or already there, so just for joy for those people. AND, two days ago, I was driving my friend's quad and giving quad rides at a party, and another friend of mine was driving the other quad and giving rides, and he and his rider (whom he switched with) oh never mind, i'm going to use names. So I was at Amy's birthday party, and I was giving rides on Amy's quad. My friend Christopher, also at the party, was driving Amy's other quad. I had Anna on the back of mine, and Chris had Ethan on the back of his. Well, he switched places with Ethan so that Ethan could have a chance to drive, so Ethan and I were racing around the yard, etc. Then I went to the side of the house to drop Anna off and pick someone new up. No one else wanted a ride, so Anna got back on, and we looked around and didn't see the other quad. We shrugged and went up the driveway and over the hill and saw Christopher walking towards us with his hand clutching his arm. He said that Ethan was hurt and we had to go get help. So we raced back to the house and got Amy's mother, and then we went back and checked Ethan out. So anyway, now Ethan is home, with stitches. Some unknown object punctured his calf right through to the muscle. Christopher ended up shattering his wrist and is in the hospital right now waiting for surgery. So prayer for both of them would be nice. I care very much for both of them, and I don't like seeing them get hurt. And also a prayer of thanks that God gave me a sense of calm about the whole situation.
Anyway, see you all later! Peace out. -Heather
