Band: Jars of Clay Song: Worlds Apart
I am the only one to blame for this Somehow it all ends up the same Soaring on the wings of selfish pride I flew too high and like Icarus I collide With a world I try so hard to leave behind To rid myself of all but love To give and die
To turn away and not become Another nail to pierce the skin of one who loved More deeply than the oceans, More abundant than the tears Of a world embracing every heartache
Can I be the one to sacrifice? Oh, grip the spear and watch the blood and the water flow
(To love You) Take my world apart (To need You) I am on my knees (To love You) Take my world apart (To need You) Broken on my knees
All said and done I stand alone Amongst remains of a life I should not own It takes all I am to believe In the mercy that covers me
Did you really have to die for me? All I am for all you are 'Cause what I need and what I believe are worlds apart
And I pray (To love You) Take my world apart (To need You) I am on my knees (To love You) Take my world apart (To need You) Broken on my knees On my knees (Bridge)
I look beyond the empty cross Forgetting what my life has cost And wipe away the crimson stains And dull the nail that still remains More and more I need you now, I owe you more each passing hour Battle between grace and pride I gave up not so long ago So steal my heart and take the pain, And wash my feet and cleanse my pride Take the selfish, take the weak, And all the things I cannot hide Take the beauty, take my tears My sin-soaked heart - make it yours Take my world all apart, Take it now, take it now And serve the ones that I despise Speak the words I can't deny Watch the world I used to love Fall to dust and blow away I look beyond the empty cross Forgetting what my life has cost And wipe away the crimson stains And dull the nail that still remains Steal my heart and take the pain Take the selfish, take the weak And all the things I cannot hide Take the beauty, take my tears Take my world apart Take my world apart And I pray, and I pray, and I pray Take my world apart Worlds apart

Band: Kutless Song: Perspectives
It feels like your life's crashing down all around you Let me ask if it's really so bad Look at the world in it's suffering Can you honestly tell me that know one else could understand All of the hurting inside
Why can't you see that freedom is sometimes just simply another perspective away Who could you be if your lens was changed for a moment, Would you still be the same
A young child looks through a great stained glass window Watching the people go by Everyone seems to be wearing a red coat His mother sees jackets in white Now he can't understand why does she see it this way
Why can't you see that freedom is sometimes just simply another perspective away Who could you be if your lens was changed for a moment, Would you still be the same
Yesterday, you really couldn't see By changing your angle a new world would be Revealed to your once blinded eyes by moving a few degrees
Why can't you see that freedom is sometimes just simply another perspective away Who could you be if your lens was changed for a moment, Would you still be the same

Song: For the Sake of the Call Artist: Steven Curtis Chapman
We will abandon it all for the sake of the call No other reason at all but the sake of the call Wholly devoted to live and to die for the sake of the call
Nobody stood and applauded them So they knew from the start This road would not lead to fame All they really knew for sure Was Jesus had called to them He said "come follow Me" and they came With reckless abandon, they came
Empty nets lying there at the water's edge Told a story that few could believe And none could explain How some crazy fisherman agreed to go where Jesus went With no thought to what they would gain For Jesus had called them by name And they answered...
We will abandon it all for the sake of the call No other reason at all but the sake of the call Wholly devoted to live and to die for the sake of the call The sake of the call
Drawn like the rivers are drawn to the sea There's no turning back, for the water cannot help but flow Once we hear the Savior's call, we'll follow wherever He leads Because of the love He has shown And because He has called us to go We will answer...
We will abandon it all for the sake of the call No other reason at all but the sake of the call Wholly devoted to live and to die
Not for the sake of a creed or a cause Not for a dream or a promise Simply because it is Jesus who called And if we believe we'll obey
We will abandon it all for the sake of the call No other reason at all but the sake of the call We will abandon it all for the sake of the call No other reason at all but the sake of the call Wholly devoted to live and to die for the sake of the call For the sake of the call We will abandon it a

Song: My Jesus Artist: Todd Agnew
Which Jesus do you follow? Which Jesus do you serve? If Ephesians says to imitate Christ Why do you look so much like the world?
Cuz my Jesus bled and died He spent his time with thieves and liars He loved the poor and accosted the arrogant so which one do you want to be?
Blessed are the poor in spirit Or do we pray to be blessed with the wealth of this land? Blessed are they that hunger and thirst for righteousness Or do we ache for another taste of this world of shifting sand?
Cuz my Jesus bled and died for my sins He spent his time with thieves and sluts and liars He loved the poor and accosted the rich So which one do you want to be?
Who is this that you follow? This picture of the American Dream If Jesus was here would you walk right by on the other side? Or fall down and worship at his holy feet? Holy, yeah
Pretty blue eyes and curly brown hair and a clear complexion is how you see him as he dies for your sins. But the Word says He was battered and scarred or did you miss that part? Sometimes I doubt we'd recognize Him.
Cuz my Jesus bled and died. He spent His time with thieves and the least of these He loved the poor and accosted the comfortable so which one do you want to be?
Cuz my Jesus would never be accepted in my church the blood and dirt on His feet might stain the carpet but He reaches for the hurting and despises the proud and I think He'd prefer Beale street to the stained glass crowd and I know that He can hear me if I cry out loud
I wanna be like my Jesus, I wanna be like my Jesus, I wanna be like my Jesus, I wanna be like my Jesus.
Not a poster child for American Prosperity But like my Jesus You see I'm tired of living for success and popularity I wanna be like my Jesus
But I'm not sure what that means to be like you Jesus cuz you said to live like you, love like you, but then you died for me Can I be like you Jesus?
I wanna be like you Jesus. I wanna be like my Jesus.

I love the words for that song. They definitely have a challenge for each of us. The part about Jesus challenging the comfortable really hit me. I'd love to hear it sometime.
